The band had a fun time performing this past weekend at Lynn’s surprise birthday party in Plymouth, MA.  The party was right up the street from Plimoth Plantation at a beautiful ocean-front property.  Hubbie Allan really did it up for his wife by getting a GREAT group of folks together for the celebration.

After the big surprise moment, the Goodtime band did their famous (or infamous) bluegrass version of “Happy Birthday.”  The entire party sang along  for the “Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy….” verse! It was quite a hoot!

Thanks for letting us be a part of the fun!

Stillhouse JammersAndy had the pleasure of performing with the Stillhouse Jammers at the Lowell Folk Festival last month. We rocked the crowd at Brew’d Awakening through the weekend’s biggest downpour. It was a goodtime indeed - thanks fellas!

sammy shelorThere’s a great line-up of acts that will be performing at the Lowell Folk Festival in a couple of weeks. This year’s “bluegrass feature act” will be the Lonesome River Band. For a complete list of perfomers click here.

The Lonesome River Band’s signature tight harmonies, solid instrumentals and innovative repertoire produced one of the most distinctive ensembles in all of bluegrass. This year will mark the band’s 26th anniversary.

Sammy Shelor is one of my favorite banjo players - I can’t wait to see him perform again!
